BLACKHEATH

Blackheath is a bustling London village with heathland, nature and charm. We love the weekly Farmers’ Market, Boulangerie Jade, Hortus and more besides. Picture postcard pockets include the neighbourhoods of Blackheath Conservation Area, Blackheath Cator Estate, Belmont Conservation Area and Westcombe Park. The architecture is varied, from Georgian to modern with examples from Graham Morrison and Eric Lyons. A South East London gem.

HITHER GREEN & LEE

A short distance from Blackheath are the local neighbourhoods of Hither Green and Lee. Most recently they gained in popularity largely due to their thriving communities, popular schools, easy transport links and growing choice of independent shops. There are so many brilliant small businesses to mention but some of our favourites include You Don’t Bring Me Flowers, Three Sisters, Park Fever, Good Hope, Drink at Bob’s – we could go on. These South East London pockets are also home to a choice of green spaces, conservation areas, French baroque-style architecture plus local arts and community festivals.

BROCKLEY

On the East London Line, Brockley is a cool neighbourhood with so much happening. While the micro businesses and weekly farmers’ market keep things feeling local, the transport services allow easy access to the whole of London. ‘Must visits’ include Browns of Brockley, Number 57 Handmade, and Brickfields but there are so many other brilliant local businesses. Admission to the local schools is highly sought-after. Hilly Fields and Brockley Conservation Area are lovely spots for walks while taking in Brockley’s vibe.

GREENWICH

On the banks of the River Thames, Greenwich is a UNESCO World Heritage Site steeped in royal and naval history. Greenwich Park extends across 74 hectares and is home to wild deer, the Royal Observatory, a Henry Moore sculpture and beautiful gardens. Charming streets include Royal Hill, Hyde Vale and Crooms Hill. Its markets, cafes, shops, pubs and restaurants make Greenwich a hive of activity and is much loved by locals and visitors. Some of our favourite spots include Royal Hill with its charming independent shops and cafes, Olivier’s and stopping for a drink at one of the pubs along the Thames.

CATFORD

Famous for the Catford Cat, Corbett Estate, Culverley Green Conservation Area, Broadway Theatre and hearty community spirit. There is a major infrastructure and regeneration programme in the pipeline to further strengthen Catford town centre and there is a choice of railways services including the Thameslink. Schools are popular. Green spaces include Blythe Hill Fields, Mountsfield Park and Forster Memorial Park. Our recommended destinations: Good Food, the Bottle Bar & Shop, La Pizzeria Italiana and Catford Mews. There is a monthly food market and tons of community events. Catford is on the up!

SOUTH EAST LONDON

South East London offers the best of both worlds, whether you are looking for the vibrancy of the capital city or the peace and calm of its space, green pockets and access to Kent, Sussex and Essex. With the ongoing regeneration and development, fantastic choice of existing transport links, highly sought-after schools, infrastructure and value-for-money prime housing stock, residents have been migrating from north, east and south west of the river to South East London. The areas we have highlighted are not an definitive list of our exposure, we cover the whole of South East London.

WHAT PEOPLE THINK OF US

“When we met Jo, we knew that we wanted Hestia’s to represent us. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, we also knew that she would be reliable and help us every step of the way. This was definitely the case and I really appreciate the fact that she was always there throughout. I would recommend Hestia’s services wholeheartedly to everyone.”

“We looked around for a suitable estate agent when selling our flat.  Jo was the first person we spoke to and after speaking with other agents we quickly realised that Jo was the best person for the job. Jo has a great energy, knowledge and experience of the property market. Our flat was under offer in two weeks and Jo kept us in the loop until contracts were exchanged. Jo is not your typical estate agent! We would highly recommend her to anyone wanting that little bit extra when going through the stress of selling and buying.”

“Jo is so creative and pro-active in her approach to selling, she knows exactly how to market a property to achieve the best price. Jo’s knowledge of the local housing market is remarkable and she will go above and beyond to secure a really good sale. I didn’t think anyone could be passionate about selling houses but Jo is!”
